We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Project Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team in the gaming chairs industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing procurement activities, focusing on strategic sourcing, vendor management, and cost optimization. This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to drive procurement efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality and supplier performance.
We represent the brand to our global followers as Secretlab continues to grow its reach through internal and collaborative efforts with world-renowned brands such as Game of Thrones, Batman, Cloud9, Team Secret, as well as international esports organisers such as Riot Games for their League of Legends global tournaments
Responsibilities
- Work with Sales, Product Design, Quality, and Operations to understand material needs.
- Ensure timely procurement to support project timelines and production schedules.
- Identify, evaluate, and build partnerships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and high-quality material sources.
- Lead negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.
- Adjust procurement strategies proactively to maintain a competitive edge.
- Oversee supplier performance and address issues promptly.
- Monitor and manage risks to minimize disruptions in procurement and operations.
- Prepare procurement reports to track spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support strategic decision-making.
- Support vendor issues that are escalating to him/her.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CIPS) is highly desirable.,
- 2 to 6 years’ working experience in a project procurement role preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage procurement activities effectively in a business model comprising Corporate Sales Business.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate with internal departments, including Product Development, Sales, Manufacturing, and Operations to ensure seamless procurement processes.
- Highly proficient in both English and Mandarin - both verbal and written (for liaising with Mandarin speaking vendors regarding sourcing activities)
- Highly organized self-starter
Bonuses
- Proficiency in using project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, or Microsoft Project) to streamline procurement tasks
- Prior experience in the furniture, gaming accessories, or ergonomic products sector, specifically in procurement or supply chain roles.
- Comfortable with travelling overseas to meet with vendors (ad hoc basis)
