Roles and Responsibilities:
Act as the global responsible individual for the overall end to end demand planning process of an assigned product segment and facilitate the process within defined monthly timelines.
Drive demand planning for product launches and phase-outs in alignment with product roadmap provided by strategic product management of Business Clusters.
Plan for the hosting of monthly global demand review meetings to drive organizational focus and alignment.
Collaborate and guide with designated Demand Forecast Analysts within the Sales and Service Clusters and accurately map various demand plans into one common global demand plan.
Document assumptions and adjustments.
Monitor, analyze & evaluate existing global demand plan performance.
Be the lead to clarify particularities with Demand Forecast Analysts to ensure information is accurate & useful.
Drive the development of plans to improve overall forecast accuracy of Global Demand Plan.
Responsible for the coordination of the demand classification process to select best fit algorithms, and tune parameters of statistical models.
Oversee & uphold the standard of precise and high-qualitative master / transactional data at the beginning of every demand planning cycle by utilizing our state-of-the-art software tools to support in this.
Hold the position of “Key Representative” during in-review meetings for the global demand plan with S&OP and execute handshake(s) with the relevant S&OP lead and global supply planners.
Understand the technical functions of an Advanced Planning System (APS) and act as a Global Key User for first level support.
Lead and guide the other members of the team to hone excellence & efficiency.
Strive and lead the continuous improvement of SICK's Advanced Planning System, other related Business Intelligence Solutions and the demand planning process.
Validate information of document standard operating procedures to strategie and enable Demand Forecast Analysts of your region to use same business processes, tools and language.
Outlook: Take on further responsibilities within the supply chain planning end-to-end process (e.g. inventory and stock level determination).
Proactively engage and meet with team to ensure continuous growth and management of the global demand planning process of assigned product families within defined timelines.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in supply chain, industrial engineering, business administration, or similar. Minimum 10 or more years of relevant working experience in Demand Planning and/or Sales & Operations Planning.
Excellent full fledge understanding of Sales & Operations Planning processes.
Comprehensive understanding of business intelligence software. (APS software, ERP systems, Tableau)
Hands-on experience in working with Advanced Planning Systems like Blue Yonder, o9, Kinaxis or SAP IBP.
Possesses high data quality mindset and thorough understanding of statistical forecasting methods.
Indepth Knowledge of Blue Yonder's statistical models and their parameters would be beneficial.
Prior industry experience in the field of sensor technology would be beneficial.
Business fluency in English to aid in communication between departments.
Strong demonstration of agility and aptitude to develop and adapt to internal processes.
Strong aptitude in cross-functional coordination.
Strong analytical, decision making, written and verbal communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels including senior management.
Motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and professional demeanor. Ability to work independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams and other business analysts.
Possesses the ability to adapt to change with resiliency and lead change.
