Roles & Responsibilities:
The Public Relations Executive will play a pivotal role in enhancing the organization’s image and building relationships with key stakeholders by promoting initiatives such as the ICT Academy, Tech4CITY, and related technology competitions aimed at building the talent pipeline. This role focuses on creating impactful public relations strategies, and leading community engagement efforts to elevate the company’s profile in the tech space and local community.
Responsibilities:
ICT Academy & Tech4CITY Engagement
- Programme manager of ICT Academy, planning and executing classes, certification courses for partner institutions.
- Develop and execute engagement strategies for the ICT Academy (training, workshops, partnerships with universities/industry).
-Manage the Tech4CITY community, including digital platforms (social media, forums, newsletters) to foster discussions on tech innovation.
-Organize hackathons, competitions, and challenges to drive participation from students, start-ups, and professionals.
-Collaborate with government agencies, tech companies, and academic institutions to expand programme reach.
- Public relation management for eg, organize community CSR activities aimed at using technological innovations for good,
- Create content related with talent development and public relations (press releases, blogs, social media) to promote programs, success stories, and competition winners.
Requirements:
· Minimum a bachelor degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
· 1-2 years of experience in public affairs, community engagement, or tech event management.
· Good understanding of ICT/digital trends, smart cities, and innovation ecosystems.
· Excellent communication (writing/presentation) and stakeholder management skills.
· Experience managing social media, competitions, or hackathons is a plus.
· Ability to work with cross-functional teams (government, corporates, academia).
· Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to ensure effective communication with the Chinese-speaking stakeholders, including head office, business counterparts, and customers based in China.
