An operations Manager in the food services division at Sodexo is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the daily operations of food service facilities to ensure exceptional client and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities typically include
- Operational Oversight: Managing all aspects of food service operations, including staffing, budgeting, procurement, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Team Leadership: Recruiting, training, and supervising staff to maintain high performance standards and foster a positive work environment.
- Client Relations: Serving as the primary liaison between Sodexo and clients, addressing concerns, and ensuring service agreements are met.
- Financial Management: Developing and managing budgets, monitoring financial performance, and implementing cost-control measures.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring food quality, presentation, and service meet Sodexo's standards and client expectations.
- Compliance: Ensuring adherence to all relevant health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Job Scope:
- To be accountable for all existing operational Food services contracts, contract retention, contract growth and development
- Drive the development and execution of operational strategies.
- Develop and maintain business continuity strategies, policies and guidelines.
- Develop managers and high potential employees.
- Drive service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain relationships with strategic business partner.
- Establish business continuity processes.
- Establish business strategies for the business function.
- Facilitate innovation and lead managers to manage change.
- Help with the innovation process within the organisation.
- Manage compliance with food and beverage hygiene policies and procedures.
- Manage revenue and expenditure.
- Lead and develop a high performing operational team to achieve their objectives
- Ensure Sodexo operational standards are implemented and maintained and followed in all sites
- Drive operational excellence by optimizing business processes and enhancing efficiencies
- Prepare annual operational business development plans in line with the agreed offer development and retention strategies
- Build, develop and maintain strong and sustainable client relationships and partnership.
- Ensure financial performance and goals are met.
- Guarantee service delivery in compliance with Quality and HSE standards
- Drive Sodexo’s Health and Safety culture and philosophy forward in a manner to ensure we achieve our safety goals

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Outstanding team leadership skills and experience, highly skilled in motivating & building a site management team that continually improves Sodexo's performance for our clients and customers.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Food operations.
- Excellent ability to develop partnership with our clients and suppliers.
- Demonstrated experience managing large accounts at multiple locations.
- Strong financial acumen, including a proven ability in all types of financial contracts.
- Ability to understand, analyze and forecast financial results and make decisions based on data and needs.
- Able to manage through others and able to multi-task.
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build relationships with a team that has a wide variety of different management styles and diverse client strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively identify opportunities, address issues and ensure effective follow-up.
- A proven background in the field of Food Operations or similar related discipline
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent studies in Business Management, Technical discipline, finance or related field
