PRIMARY FUNCTION
The intern will support the bSHISEIDO team for full 360 campaign activation for Brand, Marketing and Digital. The function requires interfacing with other Business Function teams (Ecommerce, Retail Design, creative, commercial) & across Asia, EMEA, Americas, the intern will be exposed to brand & marketing management fundamentals, as well as to the travel retail beauty industry with premium skincare brands. Other learning opportunities include the quick-evolving Chinese consumer digital & social landscape, and stakeholder management skills, working with people from various functions and countries. This role’s focus will primarily support 90% of the Shiseido brand and 10% of Anessa & Elixir.
This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the entire marketing ecosystem, developing skills in brand management, digital marketing, and commercial strategy within a global organization.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Development & Execution
- Support the ideation, creation, and execution of integrated brand campaigns, toolkits & assets across physical and digital touchpoints, including product launches, promotional activities, and animations
- Ensure all campaign elements maintain brand consistency and consumer relevance while adhering to global guidelines
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to develop and implement campaign assets for both traditional and digital channels
- Coordinate internal approvals and feedback between teams for campaign materials and digital assets
Digital Ecosystem Management
- Assist to work with EC for launch exposure resource planning. To also develop and maintain digital brand presence across e-commerce platforms and social media channels
- Support the implementation of media campaigns (online and OOH), including coordination with agencies for proper execution and tracking
- Help manage Shop-in-Shop digital maintenance and e-commerce campaign offers across retailer platforms
Go-To-Market
- Liaise with cross-functional teams including commercial, e-commerce to align on promotional strategies and offerings such as GWPs to ensure synergies both online and offline.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Consolidate research, insights, and performance data for regular stakeholder reporting
- Analyze online sales performance to evaluate campaign effectiveness and recommend optimizations
- Monitor competitor online presence and compile best practices to inform future promotional planning
Others & Admin:
- Support preparation for key brand events and presentations, including the Tax-Free World Association (TFWA) Exhibition
- Assist the team with vendor onboarding, cost management, and invoice tracking.
- Support bShiseido, Anessa & Elixir brand team in daily operations such as PR management, office stock management, raising & tracking SOs & POs, items creation & BOM modification, DHL & Fedex Shipments etc.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or Postgraduate majoring in Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
- Effective communication skills (verbal & written)
- Self-starter, must be detail-oriented, high-energy levels, positive & enthusiastic
- Passionate or have interest in the beauty industry will be an added advantage
- Comfortable with numbers and analysis of data.
- Familiar with China mainstream social and EC platforms & landscape
- Strong research skill with ability to gather and analyze of data from a variety of sources
- Positive, enthusiastic and collaborative can-do mentality.
- Strong command of the Chinese language is a bonus
