The Role:
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Media Production & Studio Support Specialist to support the daily operations of a dynamic multimedia and live production environment. You will play a key role in studio management, technical support, and production execution, working closely with creative teams and students.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage studio operations including lighting, sound, props, and equipment setup for smooth production activities.
Provide guidance to users on the proper usage of broadcast, audio, and video equipment.
Assist with planning and executing rehearsals, productions, and live shows, offering technical expertise throughout.
Set up, program, and operate lighting systems for studio and stage environments.
Operate digital and analog audio systems for live and recorded sound, mixing, and post-production.
Support multicamera shoots, live streaming, and post-production including video editing.
Integrate and manage virtual production tools for real-time media environments.
Design and configure AV circuits and signal flows for different media production setups.
Maintain and repair studio equipment, manage inventories, track equipment usage, and liaise with stakeholders.
Oversee asset procurement, software license tracking, and coordination of equipment delivery.
Generate lab usage reports, handle general admin tasks, and follow up on equipment servicing.
Ensure all operations comply with workplace safety and institutional QEHS guidelines.
What Are We Looking For?
We are seeking a hands-on and enthusiastic team player with a strong foundation in media production and studio operations.
Ideal candidates will have:
A Diploma, Higher NITEC or NITEC in a relevant discipline (e.g. Media, Audio Engineering, Broadcast Technology).
At least 2 years of industry experience in multimedia, broadcast, or studio production.
Knowledge and hands-on experience in live sound, video production, studio and post-production workflows.
Familiarity with broadcast systems, multimedia equipment, and relevant software tools.
Experience operating both analog and digital sound consoles.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to perform basic maintenance and equipment repairs.
A keen interest in technology, innovation, and supporting hands-on learning environments.
