Purchasing Manager - #1092297

Under the general guidance of the Director of Finance or any other authorized individual from Management, the Purchasing Manager is responsible for ensuring a coordinated approach to procurement that guarantees value for money in a cost-effective and efficient manner, in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

How your day looks like?

• Assist in the introduction of new systems and techniques to generate efficiencies and improved ways of working.
• Collaborate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the procurement strategy to ensure efficiency, cost control and transparency.
• Develop and implement procurement policies and processes to ensure operational and financial requirements.
• Manage, administer, and coordinate procurement activities to ensure compliance with established standards.
• Play an active role in planning and assisting with the achievement of efficiency targets for the Hotel.
• Develop and maintain robust contracts in order to maximize cost efficiencies.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors.
• Ensure the quality of procured items and address any issues that arise.
• Monitor and evaluate vendors based on quality, service and price through purchasing specifications.
• Develop and implement innovative procurement methods to continually improve business processes.
• Assist the Director of Finance in providing management information and performance reports to track procurement costs and results.
• Oversee the receiving process and store management.
• Perform other duties as reasonably required by Management.

Qualifications

• Strong negotiation skills
• 3 - 10 years of purchasing/supply chain experience
• Experience in hospitality procurement is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Financial acumen
• Knowledge of sustainable procurement practices is a plus
