Position Overview
The Chief Product Officer (CPO) will lead the team of Product Owners and define the overarching product vision and strategy for enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for aligning digital product development with business goals, key value drivers, and operational needs.
The CPO will ensure that all digital products deliver measurable value and are effectively integrated into a cohesive digital ecosystem that supports the organization's long-term strategic vision. This individual will collaborate closely with internal leadership, executive stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure digital solutions are aligned with operational priorities and future business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Product Strategy & Roadmap
Define and own the enterprise digital product strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization's vision for integrated operations, intelligent planning, and connected workforce enablement.
Develop and maintain a strategic product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact and execution feasibility.
Ensure digital products drive operational improvements such as cost savings, increased efficiency, and better decision-making capabilities.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and support a team of Product Owners, driving cohesion and alignment across all digital product initiatives.
Define roles, responsibilities, and performance goals to ensure accountability and execution excellence.
Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement within product teams.
Stakeholder & Executive Alignment
Partner with executive leadership and operational heads to ensure digital products address critical business needs.
Serve as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and digital teams to ensure value-focused outcomes.
Facilitate workshops and briefings to align leadership on product vision, roadmap, and innovation opportunities driven by emerging technologies.
Digital Product Execution & Integration
Ensure digital solutions are architected to integrate smoothly with enterprise systems and data infrastructure.
Oversee development for key initiatives such as asset performance optimization, predictive maintenance, and operational efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with engineering, data, and design teams to ensure high-quality product delivery.
Promote agile best practices to accelerate product development and deployment.
Value-Driven Digital Transformation
Define and track success metrics to ensure each product delivers measurable business value.
Partner with stakeholders to monitor and report on value realization.
Identify and scale high-impact MVPs into enterprise-grade solutions.
Continuous Innovation & Future Growth
Stay informed on emerging technologies in AI and digital innovation relevant to heavy industry operations.
Drive exploration of new product opportunities and future enhancements beyond the current transformation scope.
Ensure solutions remain adaptable and forward-looking in response to evolving business demands.
Experience & Qualifications
10+ years of experience in product management, digital transformation, or AI-enabled product development.
Good foundation in AI, machine learning, and industrial digitalization, preferably within mining, energy, or similar asset-intensive sectors.
Demonstrated success leading product teams and managing complex product portfolios.
Deep understanding of data platforms, enterprise architecture, and system integration.
Proven ability to engage with executive stakeholders and translate operational needs into digital product solutions.
Expertise in agile development, MVP strategy, and iterative product delivery.
