Scope of Service

The Data Analyst(s) shall be responsible for the overall requirements analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and reports.

These responsibilities encompass:

Designing enterprise-grade Power BI solutions and analytical data modelling

Manage and deliver Power BI proects within timeline

Develop Power BI standards, guidelines, and best practices

Work with data engineers, data scientists and other stakeholders in the implementation of Power BI dashboards and report

Lead and provide technical support for Power BI dashboards

Organise and hold workshops and clinics to help HPB employees

become more adept in Power BI

Minimum Educational Qualifications

Bachelor/Masters degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems with major/project experience in data or business analytics from a recognized university OR Professional certifications in related fields from accredited professional bodies with Bachelor degree from other disciplines

1. WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS OF DATA ANALYST (DA)

Work Experience

Minimum 4 years of experience in end-to-end Power BI Dashboard solution / Data Visualization design, adopting good practices that encourage efficient data usage, scalability, extensibility, reusability, etc

Relevant work experience in data integration, analytics, data extraction, transformation and load (ETL), basic exploratory data analytics (EDA), data cleaning, and/or feature engineering

Proficient in SQL

Experience in data science will be an added advantage

Strong skills in analytical data modelling and analysis concepts will be an added advantage

4.2 General Skillset

Excellent communication and strong stakeholder engagement skills, coupled with strong process-oriented qualities and the ability to quickly grasp business requirements to make accurate and concise points.

Results and customer oriented with the ability to pitch ideas and influence stakeholders through comprehensive presentation to key stakeholders to garner buy-in.

Team player with strong organization and people handling skills.

Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills to ensure timely delivery of projects and outcomes.

Adaptive and flexible with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced matrix environment, overseeing multiple tasks concurrently and managing conflicting priorities.

Meticulous, result-driven and possess the drive, commitment and perseverance to do well and have strong intellectual curiosity to learn and seek continuous improvements in the tasks assigned.

Strong business process and analytical skills with the ability to assimilate business questions and information quickly, and communicate complex requirements and issues clearly and concisely

4.3 Technical Skillset

Technically competent in Microsoft BI and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) Scripting

Proficient in SQL (Structured Query Language)

The following experience and knowledge would be deemed as advantageous:

Proficiency in Microsoft Azure

Pyspark
