Job Role / Job Overview

You will help to create the next generation of interconnect solutions used by our customers in consumer electronics and domestic appliance applications. You will conceive, design, and bring into production products that will re-define the connector industry.

Key Accountabilities

Product Design from conception to finalization • Design discussions and project updates with the customer • Sample trial and testing • Trouble shooting • Project Management • Problem Analysis

Education & Certifications

• Knowledge in FMEA and Design of Experiment (DOE)
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or Electronic Engineering.

Job Specific Technical Requirements

• Must be able to use 3D design software such as UG, Solid works, Pro-E or AutoCAD

Industry experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in product development in an engineering/electronics/high-tech environment. Experience of design and development for cable or connectors would be an advantage.

Job Specific Personal Requirements

• Ability in mechanical design of plastics components and contacts/terminals design for a high-speed stamping die.
• Good knowledge in the application of various engineering plastics and the processing skills of plastics injection moulding machines to achieve high cosmetic requirements.
• Strong trouble shooting skills and an analytical mind.
• Ability to lead the team members to accomplish the project to meet customer’s requirements within time frame.
• Good team player

Languages

• Fluency in English is essential
• Mandarin or Bahasa Indonesia language skills will be a plus
