Position Introductory;

Incumbent shall report to the HOD of Supply Chain team in headquarter (HQ, Singapore) corporate division.


Have in depth knowledge for tobacco leaf with ability to negotiate with vendors to ensure timely delivery in a most cost-efficient manner within the agreed budget.


He / She is excellent at being able to identify good buying opportunities, recognizing market fluctuations and capitalizing on advantageous buying situations. The person cultivates good yet transparent relationships with suppliers at his/her best effort to get the best prices possible for the company. Trust and Integrity are crucial as the role is responsible for large purchases that represent a substantial investment to the Company.


The person shall plan, coordinate, collaborate, engage, ensure and align production/material scheduling and production factory to actualize production plans are maintained at optimum level.


The person will also provide clear understanding and coordinating of product requirements, schedule, storage, specifications and parameters, crewing, working cross functionally, liaising with respective teams such as production, packaging, quality and material purchasing team from start of production to schedule delivery/acceptance etc.


Responsibilities:

● Plan, source, evaluate, review, propose and manage existing and new vendors for supply of identified materials (Tobacco Leaf) for the company's portfolio of business.

● Have in depth product knowledge to negotiate with existing and new vendors to ensure timely delivery in a most cost-efficient manner within the agreed budget.

● Check, track and monitor the delivery of purchased items within the agreed schedule and confirm delivery of items per agreed specifications by respective vendors.

● Correspond cross functionally internally with ranks from Director level to production / operations personnel on inventory use to ensure timely order of materials to avoid disruption to the production schedule or resulting excessive over purchase due to lack of planning.

● Conduct periodic review of existing vendors, provide and execute recommendations to ensure vendor performance on pricing, quality, and delivery.

● Analyse forecast vs actual, prepare trends and forecasting reports for management and other stakeholders. Consistently achieve semi-finish goods plan and deployment on time in full quantity

● Review and provide recommendations to management for the materials needed.

● Full spectrum of demand versus supply, material / inventory management to schedule delivery / acceptance

● Review supply forecast, ensure stock inventory in production/warehouse are maintained at optimum level

● Negotiate with customer when there is potential production shipment impact.

● New product / project trial (Prototype) plan. New product development (NPD) co-ordination to assure the project executed based on the planned timeline

● Perform monthly PPDS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling) to generate actual demand which reflects in the system based on the monthly updated targeted sales volume from customers.

● Driving cost reduction project with monthly report and action items methodologies and analytics.

● Other special projects / ad-hoc assignments tasked by your immediate superior / reporting.


Requirements:

● Having at least 5 years in similar capacity, buying Tobacco according to Customer specifications,

processing and exportation/logistics.

● Diploma/Degree in purchasing or Supply Chain Management/Undergraduate degree in a technical field/Relevant Trade Certifications.

● Experienced Procurement Logistics Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the tobacco industry. Skilled in Negotiation, Budgeting, Supply Chain Optimization, Operations

● Management, and Team Building.

● Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives.
