Credit Research Analyst (Mid-level) - #1092063

Role summary

This is a Credit Analyst role reporting to the Head of Credit Research. The individual will be part of the Fixed Income team under the Investment group. The analyst for this position will be based in Singapore.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Produce credit research reports with actionable investment ideas for the firm’s credit investment portfolios.
• Consistently generate and review trade recommendations and high conviction ideas to generate alpha in the sectors assigned.
• Sector coverage will primarily be Consumer, Oil & Gas, Transportation, Telecommunication, and Utilities sector. Coverage responsibilities may include ad hoc research into sectors or credits of special interest. Over time, coverage and responsibilities may change, based on team needs and the individual’s experience and aspirations.
• Monitor and update the team on market and corporate developments that may impact individual issuers’ credit profiles.
• Contribute to other research teams in the analysis of macroeconomic and industry data to develop views on macro-outlook and sector outlook.

Education qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• Preferably a CFA charter holder

Experience and skills

• 6 to 9 years’ credit analysis experience from financial institutions and/or credit rating agencies
• Investment experience and specialisation in the sectors mentioned above
• Solid fundamental bottom-up research analysis skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in ESG research will be a plus
