We are looking for individuals who are passionate to works with individuals, families, volunteers, and communities at large by conducting intake interviews and financial assessment. They would be equipped with basic assessment skills (including risk and financial assessments) and provide information and referral services to recommend families
for continued services by the Caseworker (CW), or by service providers from social service agencies (SSAs). He/She is expected to work with MUIS Befrienders and facilitate their deployment for home visits and monitor and track their training and claims.
Duties:
- Community Engagement and Outreach: Building relationships with community members, identifying their needs and concerns, and facilitating their involvement in development projects.
- Program Planning and Implementation: Designing and implementing social programs that address issues such as financial assistance, education, health, skills upgrading. This might involve coordinating with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
- Resource Mobilization: Securing funding and resources for social development projects, which can involve writing grant proposals, and managing budgets.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Assessing the effectiveness of social programs and initiatives, gathering data, and making recommendations for improvements.
- Supporting MUIS Zakat Support Programmes (ZSP): Propose, plan, budget, execute projects for ZSP at mosque level, under guidance of the ADS/SDL/SDE. Additionally, to support projects at district level where required.
Requirements:
- Education
A diploma in social work, sociology, psychology, community development, public administration, or a related field. - Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in social work, community development, or related fields.
- Experience in project management, program planning, and implementation.
- Volunteer experience with community organizations or NGOs can also be valuable. - Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with community members, stakeholders, and policymakers.
- Ability to build relationships, work collaboratively, and engage with diverse groups.
- Ability to assess community needs, analyze data, and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Strong planning, time management, and multitasking skills. - Problem-Solving
Ability to identify issues and develop creative solutions. - Personal Attributes

- Comfortable working in a Mosque based environment
