About the Role:

The Assistant HR Manager has to oversee HR operations, ensure compliance, and drive employee engagement. This is a hands-on role covering recruitment, employee relations, HR policies, payroll support, and training & development.

Responsibilities:

• Recruitment & Onboarding – Work with the MY HR team to source and onboard candidates for SG & MY. Manage job postings, screen candidates, arrange interviews, and ensure a smooth hiring process.
• HR Systems Implementation – Assist in rolling out the new HRIS system and ensure a smooth transition for HR operations across both countries.
• Employee Relations – Handle workplace matters, mediate conflicts, and foster a positive work environment.
• HR Policy & Compliance – Ensure policies align with Singapore labor laws and industry standards.
• Payroll & Benefits Support – Work with finance teams to manage payroll and employee benefits.
• Training & Development – Identify learning needs and coordinate training programs.
• Performance Management – Oversee appraisals and track employee growth.

Requirements:

• Must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Organisational Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of HR experience in Singapore, with a strong understanding of Singapore Labour Laws and Regulations.
• Extensive experience in Talent Acquisition and Talent Development is preferred.
• Experience in cultural and organisational development.
• Hands-on experience in implementing AI recruiting tools such as HireVue, ZohoRecruit, Eightfold, and Skillate.
• Comfortable visiting project sites and engaging with front-line staff in addition to executive-level employees.
• Strong numerical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to execute HR initiatives that deliver high cost-benefit outcomes.
• Diplomatic and excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively across all staff levels.
• Knowledge of and experience with Malaysian Labour Laws would be an added advantage.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and HRIS systems.
• Must be willing to work beyond standard hours and on weekends when required by business needs.
