Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains relationships with key customer personnel and takes full ownership for account retention. To communicate closely and build good rapport with our customers - good customer service work attitude.
  • Manage customer accounts. Would require good time management, schedule daily work activities and disciplined work behavior
  • Provide routine service support to Sales Representatives in strategic district accounts to execute agreed-upon customer system assurance plans.
  • Execute required chemistry tests, log and report data, and maintain product inventories at assigned customer accounts.
  • Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer challenges, escalating as required.
  • Engage in problem-solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels.
  • Install, calibrate and maintain chemical feed equipment and process monitoring equipment at assigned customer accounts.
  • Work with manager and service supervisor to manage and maintain inventory of chemical, equipment, and parts in the warehouse and/or customer sites for on-time delivery to customers.
  • Assist Sales Representatives with start-ups of new applications in both existing customers and win new accounts.
  • Provide on-site field service and/or 24-hour over-the-phone or on-site assistance.
  • Complete required field documentation and reports and electronically transmit appropriate completed reports in a timely fashion as dictated by Company policy and departmental procedures. This includes PSR's for all service calls, weekly Call Reports (CRM), monthly Planning Schedule (CRM), and monthly Expense Reports.
  • Responsible for all aspects of safety on the job, including the operation and maintenance of assigned company vehicle, the compliance with Nalco Water Safety, HAZMAT & Product Stewardship policies.
  • Additional duties can include, but are not limited to: performing equipment installation, repair and calibration; recommending changes in chemical dosage, feed rates, or equipment; monitoring chemical inventory; and providing service reports and maintaining current operation manuals (PAM).

 

Requirements:

  • GCE O Level / ITE Certification / Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical/Chemistry or related discipline
  • Must have a valid Class 3 Singapore Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Min 2 years of successful technical service or field sales support experience
  • Must have a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience
  • Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems preferred.
  • Ability to execute manual handling (20kg) as part of daily job
  • Ability to operate in high noise / outdoor environment
  • Practical computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn internal business systems)
  • History of working in a field that required autonomy and self-motivation
  • Prior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task
