Senior/Medical Social Worker (Contract, Dept of Psychological Medicine REACH) - #1090438

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team in providing care to children and adolescents in the school and community setting. 

The job responsibilities include: 

 You will provide early assessment and intervention to improve the mental health of children and adolescents in schools, and support school personnel (e.g. full-time school counselors, special education needs officer etc) and/or social service agencies in managing students with mental health conditions.  You will also be involved in developing a mental health network for children and adolescents, as well as providing mental health training for school personnel, community agencies in the community.       

 Job Requirements 

• Master or Bachelor degree in Social Work from a recognized university.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in mental health services preferred. Experience in counselling work with families, children or youth is an added advantage. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work independently in a multidisciplinary team, as well as with professionals from other organizations.
• Proficiency in both English (spoken and written) and Mandarin/Malay/Tamil/Second Language (spoken) is preferred.
