Junior Buyer - #1090224

Element has an opportunity for a Junior Buyer/ Procurement Administrator for managing procurement of all materials for various testing laboratories consisting chemistry, metallurgy, environment, civil & special testing.

The role will be based in Jalan Boon Lay, Singapore.

Job Duties:

• Assist in purchasing materials, supplies, or services in accordance with company policies and standards
• Ensure timely procurement of goods and help maintain efficient supply chain operations by supporting supplier relationships, invoice processing, and ensuring cost-effective procurement practices
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders and follow up with the suppliers to expedite the delivery/ service ensuring cross functional coordination with operational and technical team to get technical compliance on the vendor proposals for both OPEX and CAPEX
• Identify key categories and initiate agreements with key vendors and key sub-contractors for favourable pricing and terms
• Build and maintain relationships with supplier, negotiate contracts, and secure favourable terms and conditions and evaluate vendor performance recommending improvements or changes when necessary

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Professional Certification in Procurement/ Supply Chain or equivalent
• 2 years of relevant working experience with high levels of integrity, analytical skills, coordination and team player
• Proficient with ERP and other systems like Tendering, Spend Analytics, Project Management, Microsoft Excel
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities
• Problem-solving and proactive mindset
