About our Line of Business –Satellite Systems  

ST Engineering Satellite Systems Pte. Ltd. (SatSys) is a joint venture founded in 2010 by ST Engineering, DSO National Laboratories, and Nanyang Technological University. Today with our expertise and comprehensive suite of satellite engineering and test facility, SatSys design and develop satellite buses to integrate with various payloads, such as Electro-Optical (EO) camera, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and more, to meet the mission objectives of our customers.

Manufacturing and Production team is responsible for assembly of electronic modules for every subsystem in the satellite. A successful Engineer will enable manufacturing of PCBA and modules according to relevant design and manufacturing IPC and ECSS standards. Satellite Systems Manufacturing and Production team must demonstrate speed, flexibility, and critical thinking when faced with challenges of delivering, quality and reliable modules with varied manufacturing needs. These engineers shall be able handle all assembly needs. It is essential that the engineers shall be able to work comfortably with diverse groups of design engineers when tackling their assembly requirements. The goal of the manufacturing and production team is to ensure that all electronic modules of satellite are delivered on time and quality to achieve the mission objectives.

• Responsible for all assembly process of electronic modules.
• Setting up and operating SMT assembly equipment.
• Provide support to manual assembly of components.
• Responsible for In-process control of assembly and overall quality of assembly.
• Knowledge and Use of electronic assembly standard Like IPC-A-610.
• Responsible for maintaining all the necessary documentation for assembly and M&P lab.
• Responsible for maintaining the PM and calibration status of the equipment /tools used at M&P Lab.
• Work closely with cross functional and manufacturing teams in resolving assembly issues.

Qualities We Value 

• Knowledge in Engineering (Electrical & Electronics / Mechatronics / Mechanical) or equivalent
• Familiar with Electronics Cards Assembly processes.
• Experience in SMT assembly process, equipment and tools used in electronic assembly environment.
• Ability to program and run SMT Equipment like paste printer, pick and place machine, reflow.
• Knowledge on mechanical chassis assembly.
• Knowledge on conformal coating process.
• Knowledge on assembly materials used like staking, potting, conformal coating and epoxies.
• Knowledge on lead forming, Pressfit , Potting and staking process used in electronic assemblies.
• Knowledge on in-process control and quality aspect of electronics assembly.
• Knowledge on IPC standards for electronic assembly.
• A good team player with positive working attitude and able to work independently with self-motivation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and willing to take up new challenges.
• Good communication skills and a strong team player.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
