Quality Engineer (Tuas, Established MNC) - #1090076

Our client is one of the leader in the water treatment industry, they are currently seeking for a quality engineer to join the team on a 2 year contract. The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of equipment and processes in wastewater treatment projects, including ultrapure water (UPW) and wastewater treatment plants (WWTP). The role involves inspecting technical equipment, reviewing batch and quality records, maintaining compliance documentation, and working with cross-functional teams to uphold project standards.

Salary up to $10000

Responsibilities:

- Manage simple technical matters / items relating to pumps, valves, pressure vessels, tanks, skids including technical drawing & P&ID.

- Perform receive items on site, like pumps, valves, pressure vessels, tanks, skids and check on the condition and quality of these items 

- Experience with batch record review, quality record support and ensuring that related Quality documents are updated

- Generate and maintain the document submittal list / records 

- Ensure that the project quality documents are prepared, approved as per contract requirements and available for use

- Understanding of equipment / process log review and continuous monitoring requirements & specification 

- Problem solving skills with the ability to apply logic and assess data to reach decisions and solutions related to compliance and product quality

- Work in a cross functional team with Project, Construction, Commissioning, Supply Chain, and Engineering Team as to ensure product quality and equipment supply

- Provide support to customers when any quality issues arise; helps to prepare corrective action and follow up on implementation and close out.

- Coordination with the clients for QA/QC related activities and other verification bodies for regulatory compliance

- Assessment of suppliers and sub-contractors on quality aspect and ensure that the project quality requirements are understood and implemented

- Report & update all findings / Non-conformance matters or related to QA Engineer / Manager in timely manner

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree

- At least 3 years of work experience in the Semicon/ Electronics with UPW & WWTP knowledge and experiences

- Good communication skills (writing and verbal communication/presentation)

- Interacts effectively with variety of communication and working styles

- Able to effectively multi-task and work cross-functionally

- Positive can-do attitude and self-initiated with strong sense of job ownership
