Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

Contract Duration:
12 months (Renewable / Convertible)

Your Role:

As a Service Engineer, you will:

• Supervise on-site activities and manage troubleshooting, warranty issues, testing, commissioning, and servicing tasks for both mechanical and electrical aspects of tank cleaning products. This may involve working overseas, at anchorage, off-port limits, or on ships.
• Plan and execute service assignments on company installations worldwide, following the service process. Duties include:
  • Collaborate with the service coordinator to plan service assignments.
  • Perform repairs, services, installations, and startups for end users of tank cleaning products, either on-site or within Scanjet premises if required by the customer.
  • Document causes and measures of service issues and provide internal suggestions for improvement based on these experiences.
• Prepare service and/or calibration reports detailing the work activities performed and spare parts used.
• Advise and recommend solutions to the Superintendent and/or vessel crew regarding equipment problems and operations, in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Provide technical support and deliver high-quality service to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Conduct risk assessments for each service and adhere to safe work practices, complying with regulations at the work site (e.g., on-board vessels and at shipyards).
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Management.
• Provide equipment training to customers and new service technicians as needed.
• Handle claims and deviations.
• Perform general office duties.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; Marine Engineering is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience is preferred.
• Ability to withstand long working hours, work on weekends, and travel on short notice, including overseas trips.
• Class 3 driving license required.
