About the role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accountant to join the team as a Cost Accountant for the manufacturing division. 

What you'll be doing

• Responsible for managing cost accounting processes, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation
• Prepare and analyse monthly production cost reports, identifying areas for cost savings and operational improvements
• Support the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Collaborate with the production team to improve cost tracking and forecasting
• Provide financial data and insights to aid decision-making
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies
• Participate in special projects and ad-hoc tasks as required

What we're looking for

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with 3-5 years' experience in a similar cost accounting role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, including standard costing, variance analysis and inventory valuation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
• Proficient in the use of financial reporting software and spreadsheet applications
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
• Good communication and collaboration skills to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams
