M&E Manager (Construction & Conservation)

We are hiring on behalf of a leading construction company for an M&E Manager to oversee all Mechanical and Electrical engineering activities for a prestigious conservation project. This role requires expertise in managing M&E systems for large-scale A&A and conservation projects, ensuring seamless integration with structural components while meeting regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

M&E Leadership & Oversight

• Lead and manage all M&E engineering activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, approved drawings, and timelines.
• Supervise subcontractors and vendors, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to contractual obligations.

Project Coordination & Planning

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate the installation and commissioning of M&E systems.
• Work with architects, engineers, and project teams to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless integration with building components.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, building codes, and quality assurance frameworks (e.g., CONQUAS, QM).
• Monitor and enforce safety regulations and Safe Work Procedures during installation and commissioning.

Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, and subcontractors to address M&E concerns and ensure effective communication.
• Provide regular progress updates to senior management and stakeholders.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and submit M&E documentation, reports, and progress updates as required by project timelines.
• Track and report on project progress, identifying risks and implementing solutions.

Additional Duties

• Handle ad-hoc tasks or duties assigned by management to support project success.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or related fields (PE Board-recognized degree preferred).
• Green Mark Accredited Professional (GMAP) certification is a plus.

Experience:

• At least 8 years of experience in the construction industry with expertise in M&E project management.
• Proven track record of completing a full project cycle; experience in large-scale public building renovation, MOHH, or HDB projects is advantageous.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, BIM software, or other M&E design tools.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems, installation methods, and industry standards.

Competencies:

• Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, resolve technical issues, and meet tight deadlines.
