Goal-Keeping Coach/Football Academy

Singapore Sports School is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the full-time position of Goal-Keeping Coach/Football Academy.

You will be responsible for planning and implementing the training and competition plans for student-athletes towards high performance in sports, based on long-term athlete development principles, under the guidance of the Football Academy Head Coach. You will keep track of the progress of each student-athlete and provide regular updates to the Football Academy, the student-athletes and their parents. You will work with the Head Coach, General Manager, fellow coaches, school staff and external stakeholders to achieve the sporting goals and holistic development of the student-athletes under your care.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of competitive coaching experience with elite and developmental youth athletes.
• Possesses SG-Coach Level 1 or above certification or equivalent and is registered with the National Registry of Coaches (NROC) and the Ministry of Education.
• Possesses a valid Standard First Aid + CPR/AED certification.
• Possesses Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Level 2 Goalkeeping certification or equivalent preferred.
• Displays good understanding of sports science as applied to elite youth sports based on long term athlete development principles.
• Keen understanding of the quality Daily Training Environment needed for the development of student-athletes.
• Competent in values inculcation and character development for student-athletes.
• Good planning, administrative and organizational skills, with progressive knowledge, skills and attitude towards the use of data analytics in the training program.
• Good team players and able to communicate well in English with student-athletes and stakeholders.
• Experience working within a school environment would be an advantage.
