About the Role

McConnell Dowell is seeking Project Engineers / Site Engineers with expertise in architectural and structural works to play a pivotal role in one of Singapore’s major infrastructure projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Drive Site Execution: Assist the Senior Project Engineer and Construction Manager in daily operations to ensure seamless project execution.
• Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report site progress, overseeing direct workforce and subcontracted works to maintain efficiency.
• Innovative Construction Planning: Develop methodologies and procedures for construction activities, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Proactive Issue Resolution: Collaborate with design teams to resolve technical discrepancies, submit queries, and engage with consultants for swift resolutions.
• Shop Drawing Management: Oversee drafters’ output and coordinate shop drawing schedules to align with project milestones.
• Procurement & Logistics Coordination: Plan equipment and material needs, ensuring timely purchase requisitions and mobilization of equipment.
• Mentorship & Leadership: Guide and mentor Site Engineers assigned to your area of responsibility.
• Regulatory Compliance: Review and secure necessary authority approvals before commencing work, ensuring regulatory adherence.

What We’re Looking For

• Education & Experience: Recognized degree in Engineering with 3-5 years of experience in architectural and structural works.
• Team Player: Strong communicator with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Resilient & Driven: Ability to adapt and perform in a fast-paced, six-day workweek environment.
• Problem-Solver: Proactive mindset with a solution-oriented approach to project challenges.
