In this role, you implement programs and actions aimed at the base of the food safety pyramid including material, process and product food safety specification development, GMPs (good manufacturing practices), hygiene and sanitation.

You will work with key partners to ensure that food safety requirements are accurately translated into raw material, process and product specifications in a timely manner, provide basic food safety requirements advice to key stakeholders, and direct detailed technical questions to the Food Safety Team experts.

What you need to know about this position:
The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible to ensure raw material, in-process and final product compliance to ensure that products manufactured by the company meets the company’s and government standards.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Perform conformance test of in-coming raw materials;
- Conduct product and process micro-biological testing. Perform analytical final product testing.
- Ensure proper record keeping.
- Assist QA Lead on plant’s quality programmes including Audits, HACCP, Pest Control, and Sanitation
- Assist QA Lead to drive down production defects and initiate improvement projects
- Up-keeping of laboratory equipment and upgrades
- Preparation of reports as required

Education / Certifications:
- Basic diploma or degree in food technology or related discipline
Job specific requirements:
- With 1-2 years working experience in food manufacturing.
- Familiarity with microbiology testing and food manufacturing/food related business sanitation standards and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), advantage.
