Responsibilities:
The Process Specialist is responsible for serving as the subject matter expert for all manufacturing facility processes. The Process Specialist utilizes process knowledge, technical expertise and operational experience to correct process or equipment issues and improve process performance and reliability. Additionally, the Process Specialist coaches and enhances the technical capabilities of the teams by sharing experiences, technical skills and knowledge.
- Fosters a culture of safety and quality by demonstrating a "Safety and Quality First" mindset through daily actions and communications.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to plan and monitor end-to-end site processes, from pure diborane synthesis to inventory management of mixed cylinders.
- Guides team members in resolving complex operational issues through systematic troubleshooting and on-site testing with the production shift team.
- Conducts and/or supports process-related root cause investigations or failure analysis to determine preventive action plans.
- Collects and analyzes process data to identify and implement efficiency projects.
- Improves the skills and knowledge of production, maintenance, and QC technicians through coaching on processes, equipment, and systems.
- Lead annual plant maintenance activities, including safe process shutdown and startup procedures.
- Creates, leads, and supports Continuous Improvement Teams, and collaborates with internal and external subject matter experts to address relevant issues.
- Serves as the Production Representative for Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) assessments within their area of expertise.
- Facilitates the Digital Transformation (SAP) of sites to digital work instructions, tablets, and workflows.
- Trains and qualifies new production technicians on manufacturing processes.
- Trains and qualifies new SAP users.
- Oversees the Production department training matrix.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in the process / chemical plant environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possesses SAP knowledge and Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification or equivalent knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, interpret production forecasts, and make data-driven decisions.
