SHIPPING OFFICER/ EXECUTIVE - #1089771

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping Officer / Executive to join our dynamic team at Sanden International (Singapore) Pte Ltd. Based at our Ang Mo Kio facility, you will play a key role in coordinating and executing shipping operations, ensuring smooth and efficient logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule export shipments via sea, air, and direct delivery.
• Coordinate with the Marketing and Warehouse departments, as well as external forwarding and shipping agents, for shipment arrangements.
• Handle vessel bookings, container trucking, cargo inspection, fumigation, ventilation of wooden pallets, and documentation processing.
• Prepare and manage shipping documents, including:
  • Certificate of Origin (for endorsement by the Chambers of Commerce)
  • Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading / Airway Bill (AWB) Draft
  • Shipping Certificate Draft, Fumigation Certificate Draft
  • Insurance coverage for all export shipments
• Ensure compliance with customers' Letter of Credit (LC) requirements when preparing shipping documents.
• Liaise with inspection and fumigation companies for cargo inspections and pallet treatments before shipment.
• Verify and update freight bills against shipping data.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Head.

Requirements

• Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of export documentation, shipping procedures, and Letters of Credit (LC).
• Experience in Free Trade Agreement (FTA) Preferential COO applications (e.g., Form D, E, AK, etc.).
• Familiarity with overseas shipping operations is an advantage.
