The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in the Tampines East region. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and maintenance services to the company's manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end-user IT support and troubleshoot hardware and software issues across the manufacturing environment
• Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, networks, and related equipment
• Perform routine system checks, software updates, and backups to ensure optimal system performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve IT-related problems in a timely manner
• Maintain detailed documentation and records of all support activities and resolutions
• Participate in the implementation of new technologies and process improvements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal business users, addressing issues related to computers, printers, IT appliances, and system usage

Requirements:

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in both English and Mandarin preferred to facilitate communication with Chinese-speaking associates from China and Hong-Kong.
• Knowledge of business Application, SAP/Oracle, Server, and MySQL.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, shop floor control systems, network, and server support is preferred.
