Job Description
We’re looking for career-minded aviation sales professional with a passion for providing high touch, stellar customer service to lead the future of the business aviation industry. The Business Development / Account Manager role is tailored to those looking to win new business; build and maintain a clear understanding of customer needs; build and maintain strong, long lasting customer relationship, and paint points within the territory and develop mission critical solutions.
As a Business Development / Account Manager, you will develop and maintain a sales pipeline to support future forecasting, retention, and business planning in association for assigned clients targeting specific opportunities. Additionally, you will manage all aspects of the customer experience together with different internal teams such as operations, ground handling, client relations and billing, etc.
Represents Universal Weather and Aviation in a manner consistent with Universal’s Corporate Vision, having general passion for our clients’ success, and maintaining communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all team members and clients.
As a Business Development / Account Manager, you be responsible for
- Understands customer needs and paint points to achieve mission success
- Support onboarding team to ensure mission success from the first trip.
- Build and maintain strong, long lasting customer relationship
- Maintain an attitude of continuous improvement of departmental procedures, service to clients, and relations between co-workers.
- Meet or exceed key sales objectives and sales targets in the territory.
- Meet goals for revenue growth, account acquisition, and profitability.
- Manage all aspects of the customer experience.
- Coordinating with Regional Sales team, UA Directors/Managers, and other key stakeholders on vertical products selling
- Maintain client information in the sales database tool for forecasting and reporting purposes.
- Leverage your understanding of the competition, know their competitive strengths and weaknesses, and apply that knowledge to sell Universal products and services.
- Complete accurate and timely reports to sales management.
- Represent company at assigned trade shows and in local community activities in an effort to raise awareness of Universal products and services.
- Complete other duties as assigned or required. Our culture revolves around

Required Skills:
- College degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field, preferred.
- At least 2-5 years in a large account management prospecting/selling environment.
- Understanding of Business Aviation knowledge or experience preferred.
- Must have willingness to pursue professional skills development in support of assigned duties.
- Salesforce experience an advantage
- Must be self driven, highly organized and detail orientated; possess high energy level and positive attitude; must have proven track record of quota attainment; able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, Salesforce, and PowerPoint a must.
- Must exhibit positive teamwork, loyalty to the Company and co-workers; always exhibit a confident and professional manner.
- Able to work unsupervised and make common sense decisions involving cross-functional duties.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to display confidence in interpersonal relationships to grow executive and decision maker relationships.
- Must be able to work in fast paced environment.
