Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform bench work research using DNA, RNA and protein based molecular techniques in accordance to prescribed work procedures. This include DNA extraction from patients’ samples, ELISA assay etc.
• Systematic filing and maintenance of work procedures and research results
• Maintain and track stock level of lab equipment and supplies
• Regularly check and ensure specimens are stored at correct temperature to ensure proper storage
• Ensure that bio-hazardous materials are disposed safely in accordance to hospital regulations
• Maintain and ensure a clean and safe lab environment and workplace
• Participate in department’s education program / Journal Club
• Assist investigators in simple administrative reports
• Recruit research participants and collect data
• Maintain study database

JOB REQUIREMENTS

(A) EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum Diploma in Life Sciences, or any other relevant disciplines.
• Experience with lab experiments and techniques preferred.
