Overview

SO supports the firm’s Corporate Strategy development and implementation, by providing oversight, coordination, and support for its T2030 and other strategic initiatives. It works closely with other functions and departments within the firm to ensure collaboration, alignment and the delivery of our institutional objectives. SO also manages the firm’s Scenario Planning function and activities.

The SO team provides Chief of Staff and Staff Officer support to our CEO and Deputy CEO, and also staffing support for our Strategic Initiatives (“SI”) projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support the SO team in (i) business and finance content/ data research and analysis, (ii) discussion/ presentation materials preparation, and (iii) other general work and projects.
  • Support the firm’s Scenario Planning function and activities, including researching and writing up scenarios, analysing key driving forces for the scenarios, and facilitating various Scenarios-to-Strategies initiatives.
  • Support, organise and/or manage specific SO or institutional projects and/or events (eg. Competitors/ Peers mapping and monitoring, Scenario Planning workshops)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or a related field
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant work experience in research and general support for investment management, finance, corporate strategy or other related fields.
  • Intellectually curious and comfortable working on a wide range of topics relating to investment, finance, corporate strategy or other related fields.
  • Organised and structured in managing content/data research, analysis, and presentation, as well as in general work and project management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with good Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint) skills
  • Driven, self-motivated and adaptable team player with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
