We are seeking an exceptional market research, customer data and business analyst. Has experience in both primary and secondary research to develop, analyze, synthesize and communicate actionable insights to help company understand what products people want, who will buy them, at what price. Also able to collect, analyze/interpret data related to customer behavior to help make informed business decision.
Responsibilities
Market Research Analyst
- Provides inputs and perspective on product and market research availability as it pertains to specific initiatives
- Market research reports for product management, marketing and sales
- Develop a broad and rich understanding of key industry/company trends by leveraging secondary data sources to help monitor and diagnose brand/category and address business issues and information needs
- Proactively mine/analyse available data sources to further team’s understanding of the business/market, develop hypotheses and identify insights
Conduct research
- To build detailed profiles of existing and target customers
- Assess target markets, including estimating market size and identifying key market traits, drivers, challenges and opportunities
- Competitors across market segments
- Customer behavior/preference/business conditions/pricing (through surveys, interviews, online research) and assess potential sales of a product/service
- Pre and post product launch plan
- Manage external resources/vendors to execute market research, design and develop questionnaires provide norms to establish benchmarks and run, data analysis
Customer Data Analyst
- Custodian of customer data to acquire and enrich organisation DB profiling with firmographic data (industry, employee size, years in operation, capabilities/offering, key stakeholders ( by name, by role/title, by years in organization, by country ) as input for customer segmentation and profiling
- Use data management tools to standardize customer contact information to improve delivery rates, campaign performance and analysis opportunities
- Assist in the analysis of demographics to better target regional product offerings
- Run customer analytic to identify, attract and retain most profitable customers.
- Work with marketing manager to develop and implement trigger-based client contact strategies as new client assimilation, attrition prevention or reactivation programs
- Design and build processes to execute and automate campaign strategies
- Oversee back-end reporting and analysis for direct mail and media campaigns including database responses, incremental sales and contribution to overall business.
Business and Sales Analyst
- Research and evaluate areas of opportunity for revenue growth and cost reduction for specific market segments
- Conduct quantitative analysis including but not limited to ROI, trending, identification and assessment of opportunity and ris, forecasting, regression, corelation, cannibalisation and probability modelling
- Know how to clean and link complicated data sets from various sources
- Collect sales records, analyse sales performance records/metrics, generate dashboard/reports, interpret results of overall sales, recommend promotion
- Guide sales reps ( key accounts, regional sales etc) in entering accurate forecast in sales force, generate weekly/monthly forecast reports
- Communicate sales reporting & sales forecasting to Senior management
- Analyse line of product line operation to determine profitability and establish baseline for action and operational changes
- Develop models and reporting structure that identify costs ( by function, process, fixed, variable ) per unit ( store, order ) and identify baseline for action
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in customer insights / custom market (B2B) research in areas of new product development and customer satisfaction/loyalty research and/or analyst experience in database/direct marketing
- Well developed knowledge of a wide range of custom research methodologies and techniques that includes quantitative research (web, phone & mail) and qualitative research ( in person/online focus groups and in-depth interviews ), including survey design, data analysis / interpretation and report writing
- Process good MS excel skills, statical software, data collection methods and fluent with SQL/BI/Visualization tools/Tableau
- Desired experience in data mining, discriminant/adjusted chi-square residual analysis, preference / segmentation / advanced regression modelling
