Equipment Engineer Assistant - #1087294

We are a US MNC company specializing in Optics Manufacturing.

You will work in the Coating Department and responsible mainly for equipment repair, maintenance and upgrading of equipment in optics coating.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for 24-hour equipment uptime & efficiency.
2. Responsible for the troubleshooting, hands on repair, maintenance, and upgrading of equipment.
3. Assist in sourcing, qualification & installation of new equipment.
4. Preventive maintenance (PM) program to ensure good equipment running condition, minimizing operational downtime & yield losses. 
5. Handle equipment such as high vacuum PVD systems, ultrasonic cleaning lines, robotic pick and place, gas delivery systems, acid-stripping benches and sandblaster. 
6. Involve in projects to improve equipment efficiency and product yields, using FMEA & SPC techniques and other data analytical tools.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: 

1. At least 3 years of relevant work experience for NITEC or Technical Certificate, 
2. No experience required for Diploma or Degree holder. 
3. Must pass in electrical subject.
4. Normal color vision is required for electrical items checking
5. Capable in simple tool, jig, fixture design.
6. Experience in High Vacuum and Thin-film coating is preferred.
7. Knowledge of instrumentation control, Auto CAD & high vacuum technology, and robotic systems are a plus.

Working Conditions:

1. Must commit to work permanent 12-hour rotating shifts from timing 8 to 8 including weekends and public holidays after completing on the job training program stated in Point 2 below.
2. Initial 3 months is under on the job training, normal shift work hours will be 8am to 5.30pm
3. Work in Clean aircon room with normal dust coat attire.
4. Wear a tight-fit respirator when needed. Per safety rule, require clean shave facial hair
5. Exposed to low-level alpha radiation emission coming from coated accessories with safety measures in place per NEA safety requirement.
