This role will be part of our Cocoa business and we provide great natural cocoa ingredients to customers all over the world, working with partners across the supply chain to create indulgent treats for consumers and a positive future for cocoa. The portfolio of our cocoa company includes both legacy brands and newer faces; deZaan, Unicao, Joanes, Macao etc. All are market leaders that can meet our clients’ specific regional or global cocoa needs.

Position Summary 

Reporting to Head of Manufacturing Operations, Production Manager shall be responsible for the Production Deliverables. He/She works closely with team members to provide effective solutions for continuous improvement and also lead safety quality objectives. He/She works closely with team members to provide effective solutions to support business and quality objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

• Providing leadership to the production, process, and product development of the plant. 
• Responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing direct reports.
• Manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions.
• Implement manufacturing strategy and strategic operational goals to exceed customer expectations for product quality, cost and delivery, maximizing efficiency, optimizing production levels and driving operational excellence, managing teams across the business.
• Coordinates production requirements against commercial orders within operational budget to ensure customer satisfaction and the achievement of profit targets; including new product introduction & trails.
• Identifies new or revised production needs to minimize the effects of a tight labor situation, increase efficiency as well as product types.
• Review production processes and procedures to ensure they operate at the highest possible efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts to eliminate waste and improve operational performance.
• Oversee the hiring and training of operations personnel to ensure a capable workforce.
• To gear the plant to meet the quality requirements of other international auditing authorities and customer audits.
• Ensure all local environmental and government regulations are adhered to.

To be successful in the role, the incumbent should have the following qualities:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/chemical/manufacturing engineering.
• Minimum 10-12 years manufacturing leadership experience in similar capacity and in related industries.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, Analytical & presentation.
• Knowledge on Lean Sigma, driving root cause analysis.
• Effective and good communication skills.
• Good in report preparation for business review.
