Overview about this role:
- This position plays a critical role in ensuring that finished goods, components, and subassemblies are delivered to fulfillment and packaging sites accurately and on time. This position requires effective management of supply and resolution of supply constraints with vendors, while maintaining and updating MRP systems. The role also focuses on optimizing material planning processes, tracking systems, and key performance indicators, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement.
This is a global role that involves frequent cross-functional collaboration with production, external suppliers, operations, NPI, engineering, logistics, and material handling teams.
- Ensure demand from various sources (production, aftermarket, engineering, etc.) is met.
- Manage safety stock levels and enhance logistical efficiency by optimizing EOQs.
- Maintain planning system parameters and master data to accurately reflect supply chain needs.
- Prepare and present regular forecasts and analyses for internal management and suppliers.
- Provide data-driven updates to management on inventory and supply chain performance.
- Utilize analytics and supply chain expertise to meet inventory targets while minimizing obsolescence.
- Establish and nurture operational relationships with assigned suppliers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers, addressing delivery statuses and resolving issues.
- Oversee supplier ramp-up and ramp-down activities for new product launches.
- Collaborate with Operations and other stakeholders to establish and improve planning processes and systems.
- Support cross-functional teams in demand planning and problem-solving initiatives.
- Identify gaps and risks, and propose actionable solutions to meet plans and schedules.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Purchasing, Planning, Scheduling, or Supply Chain roles (start-up experience is a plus!).
- Strong analytical skills with proven expertise in data analysis and MS Excel.
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and forecasting tools.
