Position: Communications Manager (Medical Leave Cover)
Location: Ang Mo Kio
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours
Salary: Up to $11,000 Basic Salary + Pro-rated Performance Bonus + Transport Claimable (Dependent on relevant years of experience)
Job Description: The Communications Manager will be responsible for executing internal and external communication strategies, media relations, crisis communication, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
External and Executive Communications:
Strategic Communications and Media Relations:
- Translate business imperatives into impactful external communications campaigns.
- Build strong media relationships and execute media campaigns (traditional and online).
- Develop creative non-traditional communication strategies and KOL campaigns.
- Collaborate with agencies to drive successful outcomes.
Storytelling and Messaging:
- Develop compelling narratives around business imperatives.
- Create diverse content (briefing documents, press releases, speeches, LinkedIn content, news blogs, etc.).
- Ensure consistency across all communication channels.
- Simplify complex technical information for clear, engaging content.
Crisis Communications:
- Maintain crisis communication protocols and procedures.
- Draft statements and responses during crisis situations.
- Monitor potential issues and provide early warning signals.
- Coordinate with stakeholders during critical situations.
Measurement and Analytics:
- Track communication KPIs and report on media coverage effectiveness.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities with agency support.
Internal Communications:
- Support internal communications as needed, including coordinating with other departments for aligned messaging.
- Develop internal newsletters and materials.
- Help maintain internal communication channels.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in internal communications, with some experience in external and executive communications.
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
- Proven ability to develop and implement successful communication strategies.
- Self-starter with excellent planning, organizational, and resourcefulness skills.
- Business and marketing acumen, numerically inclined.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
