Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Finance Manager to lead and oversee all financial operations, reporting, and compliance activities while optimizing processes for efficiency. This role is pivotal to managing the company’s finances, ensuring accurate reporting, and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management and Reporting
- Handle full sets of accounts, including general ledger (GL), accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and inter-company reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate submissions for GST, corporate tax, and audit purposes.
- Develop, monitor, and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
Team Leadership and Oversight
- Supervise and mentor the Accounts Team, ensuring smooth daily operations, including transactions, billings, reimbursements, and cash flow management.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
Compliance and Governance
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, corporate secretaries, and bankers for all financial and accounting matters.
- Oversee financing matters, including letters of credit, shipping guarantees, bills of lading, and T/T payments.
- Maintain compliance with corporate governance, regulatory requirements, and accounting principles.
Process Optimization and Technology Integration
- Identify and implement improvements in financial systems and processes.
- Leverage tools like MYOB accounting and ERP software to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure integration of technology in financial and operational workflows for better control and reporting.
Cross-Functional Contributions
- Collaborate with management on cost control and resource allocation for manufacturing and construction projects.
- Manage corporate reporting in a project-focused environment.
- Provide insights into HR and office practices as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) are strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or construction industries.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and financial accounting standards.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., MYOB) and ERP systems; advanced MS Office skills.
- Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills, with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) to handle local and regional transactions.
- Familiarity with HR practices and processes is a plus.
