Overview: 

Our client is a rapidly growing group of companies focused on engineering, construction, telecommunications, and investments.

They handle various projects in the construction and engineering sector, specializing in high-tech manufacturing, data centers, and infrastructure solutions. Their expertise includes design for manufacturing and assembly (DfMA), prefabrication design, solar panel installations, and district cooling systems.

The team is currently seeking a qualified Proposal Engineer to lead both ongoing and new projects, contributing to the company’s continued success. 

Responsibilities :

• Cost Estimation:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) projects;
  • Analyze and evaluate project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and associated costs;
• Quantity Take-off
  • Perform quantity take-offs for materials and labour required for MEP installations;
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive quantity assessments;
• Budgeting and Cost-control
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Monitor and report on cost variations, providing recommendations for cost-saving measures;
• Tendering and Procurement
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and participate in the procurement process;
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids, ensuring competitiveness and adherence to project requirements;
• Contract Administration
  • Administer and manage contracts related to MEP works, including variations and claims;
  • Monitor contractual compliance and resolve any disputes that may arise during the project;
• Value Engineering
  • Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality;
  • Work closely with design and construction teams to implement value engineering recommendations;
• Risk Management
  • Identify and assess potential risks related to cost and contract issues;
  • Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project success;
• Cost Reporting
  • Generate regular cost reports to keep stakeholders informed of project financial status;
  • Provide analysis and recommendations based on cost reporting data;
• Collaboration
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders;
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to the overall success of the project;
• Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in MEP construction;
  • Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and best practices;
• Ad-Hoc
  • Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work;
  • Other Ad-hoc duties as assigned by the HOD.

Requirements :

**Candidates with relevant experience may be offered Senior Project Engineer role.

[Must]

• Minimum 5 years of related working experiences in industrial, commercial or data-centre projects.
• Good working knowledge in Mechanical and Electrical.

Soft Skill: 

• Organizational skill with attention to detail, adaptable and flexible.
• Good communication and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work well in a team, independently and demonstrate initiative and commitment.
